Jeroen Kortekaas (1991, NL) is an artist whose practice weds contemplative research with the devotional craft of sculpture, drawing, and assemblage. His work explores the metaxu—the dynamic and often equivocal "between" where self and world, nature and technology, agency and passivity meet.

He crafts objects and installations that function as philosophical waystations. Using the familiar language of infrastructure—signal lights, networks, industrial machines—he reconfigures these symbols of univocal order into sites of porous communion and transformation. By bringing the machinic into intimate relation with the living, his practice seeks to unsettle the idolization of autonomy and probes the possibility of a "machinic animism": a world of distributed agency and mutual becoming.
